UoB Syndicate discusses plans of development, academic activities

QUETTA: The 73rd meeting of the syndicate of University of Balochistan (UoB) was held here the other day.
The Judge of Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Provincial Minister for Information, Information Technology, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal besides other members of the syndicate including Abdul Hakim Baloch, Ms. Farida Nausherwani, Vice Chancellor of UoB, Professor Dr. Javed Baloch, Pro- Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mehrab Khan Pirkani, Dr. Mohsin Raza, Dr. Akram Dost as well as Dr. Kalimullah Barech, Muhammad Tayyab Lehri, Registrar Muhammad Tariq Jogezai and others.
The meeting discussed the matters pertaining to academic and research activities, future plan and projects, up-gradation and promotion of the University employees besides others.
Different suggestions of growth of the University and bringing reforms in quality in higher education also came up for threadbare discussion.
Certain decisions were also made on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Provincial Minister and other members of the syndicate assured their wholehearted cooperation to the University management in its affairs.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Javed Iqbal said that policies are being prepared for bringing improvement in the academic and research activities in the University in view of the future requirements and development.
The pending issues of the University have been taken up and settled to great extent due to conducting timely meetings of the policy making bodies in the University.
The academy session was also concluded in the University, adding he mentioned.
Dr. Javed Iqbal said that the UoB is the premier seat of learning in the University. He also mentioned that quality education is being promoted and ensured in the University as well. It is playing an important role in producing human resource in the province.
