Crackdown continues against cheating transporters

QUETTA: The crackdown is continued against the public transporters fleecing the passengers in the provincial metropolis.
The Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Amanullah Panezai is personally supervising the action in this regard, on special directives of the Provincial Minister for Transport, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail.
Three local buses and a rickshaw was impounded on overcharging of the fare from the passengers.
The buses and rickshaw was handed over to the Traffic Police for further action against them.
Warning was also issued to the local buses owners / drivers not to overcharge from the passengers, otherwise stern action would be taken against them.
Meanwhile, the representatives of the Mutahida Local Bus Union have given a written assurance to implement the official list of fare for the local transport.
The Secretary RTA has warned that the action would remain continued against the public transporters overcharging the fare from the passengers. So, those doing so must do away with the practice, it was warned further.
