Govt. is determined to remove educational backwardness: Lehri

QUETTA: Member Provincial Assembly belonging to National Party, Ms. Yasmeen Lehri has said that the government was committed to removal of educational backwardness and as such it was taking revolutionary steps for the purpose.
She was addressing annual prize distribution ceremony of a private school here the other day.
The social activist turned politician and parliamentarian, Ms. Lehri said that extra ordinary attention had been paid towards the education sector after emergence of the coalition government in the province. That was evident from the fact that major chunk of the annual budget allocated for education sector, she maintained.
She said that the very aim of the government was to raise standard of education through concerted efforts.
The role of teachers is vital in this regard so they have to come forward and play their effective role to achieve the goal, she stressed.
Ms. Yasmeen Lehri also mentioned that it is endeavour of the government to provide educational facilities to the students and so schools and colleges are being established in remote areas of the province.
She also appreciated the role of private educational institutions for the cause of promotion of education in the province.
