Zamarak calls on youth to brighten name of country, province

QUETTA: Member Provincial Assembly, Zamarak Khan Achakzai has called on the youth to brighten the name of their province and country through sports in addition to the curricula activities.
He was addressing the closing ceremony of the final round of marathon roace in conection with the 12th Balochistan Mini Olympic Games 2014 on Tuesday.
The event was organized by the Balochistan Junior Sports Association.
The marathon race was conducted from the Hockey Chowk to BMC Complex. The participants passed through White road, Benazir flyover, Spinny road, Sabzal chowk and Brewery road.
Ali Nawaz Mengal secured first position in the race with Salahuddin and Ali Raza stood second and third in it respectively.
Addressing the ceremony, the MPA Zamarak said that healthy mind is essential for a healthy body, and this is possible only when our youth would take wholehearted part in the extra curricula activities along with the curricula activities.
He said that we should provide maximum opportunities of sports to youth so as to save them from the social evils.
He said that sports and other healthy activities play important role in formation of a healthy society. He also said that such activities also help enhance potential of those (youth) take part in them.
Zamarak Khan stressed the need to arrange such events in future so as to refrain the youth from the menace like narcotics.
He appreciated performance of the Junior Sports Association and assured it of every possible cooperation to organize different sports activities in the province.
