Electricity supply of WASA tube wells suspended

QUETTA: Electricity supply of different tube wells of Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) operating in various areas of Quetta was suspended, on non-payment of the electricity arrears.
The power supply of the Prince Road, Mian Ghundi, Karkhasa, Hazar Ganji and Chaman Housing Scheme tube wells has been suspended, it was learnt.
It was learnt that WASA has to pay millions of rupees to QESCO on account of electricity bills supplied to its tube wells and other installations.
While on the other hand, the suspension of power supply to the tube wells has affected the functioning of the tube wells suspending the water supply to the dwellers of the respective areas.
The general public has slammed the situation saying that they are affected due to the disconnection of power connection of the tube wells.
The water supply has been suspended to them following suspension of power supply of the tube wells in different areas of the city.
