Issues of women being resolved with sincerity, says Secretary WD

QUETTA: The present provincial government is working on solution of the women issues as well as promotion of the handicrafts in the province.
This was stated by the Secretary Women Development Department, Haider Ali Shikoh while talking on eve of closing of the two-day cultural and handicrafts exhibition arranged by the Balochistan Business Women Association here the other day.
Also present on the occasion were the prominent economist and advisor to Chief Minister, Dr. Qaiser Bangali, Director Youth Affairs, Afzal Sulehri, Chairperson of the Balochistan Business Women Association, Ms. Sana Durrani, besides other concerned.
Shikoh said that wholehearted steps would be taken for provision of the job opportunities to women in the province so that they may be economically stable.
He also said that the business women are being facilitated every possibly in the trade sector. This is because they are encouraged and motivated to take part in business activities, he maintained.
The Secretary Women Development also said that the women who are associated with the cottage industry or handiworks are also being provided necessary facilities so they may continue to earn the respectable livelihood for them and their families.
He said that there is a need to take steps for marketing of the handcrafts prepared by the women at the national and international level.
Addressing the ceremony, Ms. Sana Durrani said that her association is determined to bring about improvement in economic state of the women folk.
It is our endeavor to take steps for ensuring empowerment of the women, she said.
