QUETTA: The post-budget policy dialogue on the Balochistan Education Budget 2014-15 is scheduled to be held on January 14, 2015 here at a local hotel.
The Institute of Social and Policy Sciences (I-SAPS) is conducting the dialogue in collaboration with the Alif Ailaan, with the main objective to share an analysis of provincial education budget and expenditure for the fiscal year 2014-15 and to initiate a process of informed deliberations to facilitate improvement in public allocations and spending on education.
The Research Fellow of I-SAPS, Ahmad Ali would present an analysts of the Balochistan Education Budget 2014-15.
The Advisor to Chief Minister for Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech would chair the concluding session.
Also likely to address the session would be by the leader of the opposition in Balochistan Assembly, Maulana Abdul Wasey, spokesman of Chief Minister, Jan Muhammad Bueldi, member of the provincial assembly, Ms. Raheela Hameed Khan, besides others.
It may be mentioned here that an analysis of education budget for the year 2014-15 showed that one fifth of the total provincial budget was allocated for education showing an increase of around 17 percent as compared with the allocations made in 2013-14.
