Govt. determined to bring marked improvement in health sector

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Health, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch has said that the present government is taking every possible steps for provision of better health facilities in the province.
The Minister was addressing a meeting at the Teaching Hospital Turbat the other day. Earlier, he went round of the Hospital.
Also present in the meeting were the Additional Secretary Health, Muhammad Aslam Tareen, the National Party nominated chairman for the slot of Municipal Committee Turbat, Qazi Ghulam Rasool, Dr. Ashok Kumar, DHO Kech, Dr. Sajid Baloch, DSM of PPHI Kech, Muhammad Ishaq Baloch besides other concerned officials.
The Minister Health on the occasion said that medical is a sacred profession, which deals in service of the ailing humanity.
He said that there is no room for absenteeism in the medical profession. He called on the doctors and other health professional including the paramedics to discharge their duties with dedication and extra zeal.
The Health Minister, who also happens to be the senior leader of National Party, said that it is sincere effort and desire of the Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch to provide best healthcare facilities to the masses all over the province.
This is why the present government has included the health sector in its priority, he maintained.
Special attention is being given towards the issues of shortage of doctors and other health staff as well as the medicines in the government hospitals, he mentioned.
Mir Rehmat Baloch announced to construct a modern mortuary, residential quarters in the next budget, provision of a transformer, provision of regular annual grant for the dialysis center in the Turbat hospital.
He also announced the grant of Rs. 1 million for the repair of three ambulances of the hospital besides posting the anesthetist and other doctors there.
Meanwhile, the Minister Health also inspected the temporary building of the Mech Medical College.
He also reviewed the ongoing construction work.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that it is our earnest desire to start classes in the Medical College from March this year.
So, he directed to the concerned authorities to expedite the pace of work on the building.
