QUETTA: The Price Control Committee continued to be in action as the Committee headed by the Assistant Commissioner Quetta City, Tariq Mengal and Assistant Commissioner Sadar, Imran Bangulzai conducted raids on Airport road, Aalmo chowk to personally check implementation on the official price list.
The Committee took into custody as many as 10 shopkeepers on the charges of fleecing the customers overlooking the official price list of the edibles and other daily used items. They were also fined hundreds of rupees on the same allegations.
It may be mentioned here that there were certain complaints regarding profiteering in the metropolis and its suburbing areas.
The Price Control Committee has warned the shopkeepers to strictly follow the official price list, otherwise stern action would be taken against those violating the directives in this regard.
