Crackdown continues against transporters not abiding by official fare list

QUETTA: The crackdown against the transporters fleecing the passengers on different routes is continued in the province.
The team led by the Secretary Provincial Transport Authority (PTA), Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail and Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Amanullah Panezai took action against the transporters plying transport from Quetta to Jaccobabad, Naseerabad, Usta Muhammad, Sibi, Mach and Kolpur route, and suspended route permits of two wagons besides challaning nine other vehicles. The passengers of four wagons were returned the fare overcharged from them by the transporters on directives of the raiding team.
Also present on the occasion were the DSP Shalkot, Sultan Muhammad, DSP Traffic, Abdul Razzaq Shahwani, besides other concerned and the transporters.
Needless to mention here is that the crackdown against the fleecing transporters had been taken on directives of the Provincial Minister for Transport, Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail and Chairman PTA and Secretary Transport, Muhammad Khalid Baloch.
