Annual Sibi Festival gets underway on February 20

QUETTA: The annual Sibi Festival is scheduled to be inaugurated on February 20, 2015. The necessary arrangements are being made for successfully organizing the Sibi Festival.
In this regard, a meeting was held with the Deputy Commissioner Sibi, Sohailur Rehman in the chair the other day.
The meeting reviewed the overall arrangements made and being made for the annual Sibi Festival.
It was informed that the concerned departments would be fully engaged in the Festival so as to make it a great success.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, who also happens to be the Chairman Organizing Committee of the Sibi Festival, said that different events including the cattle show as well as the agricultural and industrial exhibitions would be arranged in the Festival.
Moreover, different sports activities and other colourful programmes would also be part of the Festival for recreation of the general public.
The Neelam Ghar show would also be conducted during the Festival. The eminent compare and artist, Tariq Aziz would likely to host the Show.
The Deputy Commissioner on the occasion said that the wholehearted facilities would be provided for the livestock breeders and other people participating in the Sibi Festival.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also chaired a meeting in which the principals of different girls’ colleges and schools as well as the female officials from Education department participated.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the activities and programmes of women and children’s interests would also be arranged as part of the Sibi Festival.
We would also be arranging different programmes for recreation of children and women in the Sibi Festival.
For women, a Mehfil-e-Meelad would be arranged while different colourful programmes would be organized for the children, he mentioned.
The participant females informed the meeting about their part in different activities engaging women and children in the Festival.
Principal Girls College Sibi, Professor Shahida Nawaz, Principal Elementary College, Professor Zahida Munir, Principal Girls Model School, Ms. Nasim Tariq, besides others were in attendance at the meeting.
