Lahore rape: Police arrest man having resemblance with suspect

LAHORE Sept 19 (Online): Police on Thursday arrested a man having resemblance with a man who left a five-year old rape victim at a local hospital.
Doctors said that the girl’s condition was improving and she was now able to record her statement. The hospital administration has allowed the police to meet the victim.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly over the increasing incidents of sexual assault, demanding immediate legislation to award death penalties to rapists.
The police are interrogating the suspects including a hospital guard, doctors and the suspect having resemblance with a man who left the child at the hospital. The sketch of the accused was prepared with the help of CCTV footage.
