Action to be taken against illegal bird sellers: Ejbani

QUETTA: The Secretary for Forests and Wildlife, Khuda-e-Rahim Ejbani has said that the department has decided to take action against those involved in sale and purchase of birds without valid licenses.
Talking to the media, the Secretary said that the ban has already been imposed on the intense hunting of the birds all over the province. He also mentioned that there is a ban on without-license hunting of the houbara bustard under the Wildlife Act 2014 while it is essential for the sellers of other birds to have permit.
He also said that it is illegal to sell birds as being done in different parts of the city, so the government has the legal authority to take action against them.
No one would be spared in this regard, the Secretary Wildlife asserted.
Moreover, he also said that the steps are also being taken to preserve the juniper forests in the province.
