PBC expresses concerns over expansion of US Embassy

LAHORE, Sep 19 (Online): Pakistan Bar Council has showed severe concerns on allowing the expansion of United States (US) Embassy and construction of a ten stories building by government in federal capital.
As per media release, a special Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council was held on Thursday in Library of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Bar declared the construction new building against the rules of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.
Committee also tabled a request to Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan for early fixing of petitions filed by the Watan Party and other individuals challenging the permission of the US Embassy expansion.
