TAMBOO feb 14 (PPI); PML-N leadership has tasted rigging during general elections. Securing government form backdoors this government besides use of official machinery was buying votes at the cost of Rupees 30 million to 100 million during Senate elections and was committing country?s biggest horse trading. Prime Minister has also enticed MPAs from Balochistan for Rupees 100 million. If this horse trading to the Senate was not stopped then instead of true representatives wealthy and jargirdars would go to the Senate.
This was stated by President PPP Balochistan and former provincial minister Muhammad Sadiq Umrani while speaking to newsmen at his residence Umrani House in Dera Murad Jamali Saturday.
He said PPP has rendered great sacrifices for strengthening democracy and democratic institutions in the country and no one would be allowed to attack it. Senate is a forum where all the provinces have equal representation. PML-N under a plan was paving way for biggest horse trading of the history in Balochistan. It would deprive medium strata and true workers. Through this way capitalists and jagirdars would go to Senate.
Answering a question Sadiq Umrani said that Prime Minster was promising to going to visit Quetta to give Rupees 100 million to MPAs supporting him in the election. He aid Rupees 30 million to 100 million have been called for per MPA in the province.
He asked provincial government of Balochistan to pass Gwadar Corridor from the approved route by securing mineral resources and coast of the province. He said PPP during its period installed dozens of power houses to overcome electricity crisis but government in office instead of completing electricity projects was providing electricity to its mills form the share of Balochistan and this has resulted in ruination of agriculture and orchards in the province.
