47% Pakistanis believe that an increased participation in the global economy will have a positive impact on the Pakistani economy,Poll

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 47% Pakistanis believe that an increased participation in the global economy will have a positive impact on the Pakistani economy.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Keeping in view the Pakistani economy, do you think increasing participation in the global economy will have a positive impact on the Pakistani economy or a negative impact?†Responding to this, 47% said that increased international participation will have a positive impact, 28% thought that this would have a negative impact and 25% did not respond.
The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2533 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during July 30, 2013 – August 05, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
