Chief Inspector Mines’ directives for mine owners, agents

QUETTA: The Chief Inspector of Mines, Balochistan has informed the mine owners / agents and contractors to make available the up-to-date mine maps and other mines safety equipment, electric safety lamp, oil safety lamp, breading operates, self rescuers, inter ferometers, digital methane tester, taximeter (digital) and other necessary equipments under the Mines Act 1923, within a month time.
The concerned areas’ Inspector of Mines would do verification of all the things, said in an official notification issued here by the Chief Inspector of Mines, Balochistan, Engineer Iftikhar Ahmed Khan.
In case of lack of the necessary safety equipment, all such mines would be closed under the section 19(2). Action would also be taken against the responsible persons. Challans would be submitted in the court of law against the persons responsible, the official notice mentioned.
