Governor graces Sibi mela closing ceremony

SIBI(PPI): Baluchistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said living nations celebrate their national occasions with great enthusiasm. Revising hustle bustle of historic traditional Sibi mela is responsibility of us all as this Mela is reflection of ancient cultural civilization, unity.
He was addressing closing ceremony of weeklong historic Sibi mela here Thursday.
Closing ceremony was also attended among others by Commander Southern Command Lt General Nassar Khan Janjua, GOC Major General Naveed Azhar, Commandant Sibi Scouts Col Ahsan Raza Zaidi, former caretaker Chief minister Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Barozai, Provincial ministers Rehmat Baloch, Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Dr Hamid Achakzai, Herbier Domki, tribal elders and others.
Governor said Sibi is historic city of Balochistan and Sibi mela was started by known Baloch General Sardar Chakar Khan which is famous for its traditional beauty in the world. All the colours of Balochistan are seen in this mela. People of Balochistan encouraged our morale by participating in it.
Earlier flower petals were showered on guests upon arrival at the Sardar Chakar Stadium. Traditional turbans were also put on their heads.
Pigeons and balloons were released in the sky. School girls sung national songs and special songs prepared for Sibi Mela. Bands of schools students including boys and girls, Pak army, FC, BRP played heartwarming tunes. Around 600 girl and boy students presented flower show and artistes from different parts of the province presented regional dance. Animals parade was also part of the occasion.
Cash and other prizes were also distributed among the occasion.
