Sibi-Harnai section to be restored in 2 years

Sibi Mar 14 (PPI): Sibi-Harnai section of Pakistan railways would be restored in two years. It would cost Rupees two billion. This is most earning section in Quetta division.
This was stated by Divisional Superintendent Pakistan railways Quetta Faiz Muhammad Bugti while speaking to newsmen after inspecting destroyed section and survey Saturday.
He was accompanied by Chief Engineer Haroon Ghauri, XEN Bridge Mustansar Hussain, DEN Quetta Muhammad Imran Saeed and others.
DS railways told that according to policy of federal government war footing measures were being taken for the revival of Sibi-Harnai section. Teams of Engineers of Pakistan railways have surveyed and inspected the track. A PC-1 was being prepared for it. It would comprise expenses on the repair of the track, heavy machineries, details of bridges and restoration of 140 Km section. Rest Houses and camps would also be setup.
He said Sibi-Harnai section is in dilapidated condition for the last 12 years closure. It also includes 10 major bridges which have been destroyed.
DS Railways Quetta said this section would be restored at a cost of Rupees 2 billion in two years. He said it is most earning section. With its revival Quetta Division would become self sufficient and meet its expenses at its own.
He said security arrangements for the track also inevitable for which assistance would be sought from FC and other law enforcement agencies.
