Meteorological Day: Exhibition of scientific equipment today

QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has arranged an exhibition of the scientific equipment today (Monday) at the Geophysical Center near Fatima Jinnah TB Sanatorium.
The exhibition marking the World Meteorological Day would remain continued from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM. Different images of ozone, cyclones and other developments received from the satellite besides the equipment would be put on display in the exhibition.
The general public visiting the exhibition would be informed about performance of the department and other related things.
It may be mentioned here that since 1961, World Meteorological Day has commemorated the coming into force on 23 March 1950 of the Convention establishing the World Meteorological Organization and the essential contribution that National Meteorological and Hydrological Services make to the safety and well-being of society.
Each year, the celebrations focus on a theme of topical interest.
The theme for this year is “Climate knowledge for climate action.”
