Around 300 graduates to be awarded
degrees; 22 position holder graduates
to get gold medals in convocation

QUETTA: The Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) is going to hold its first-ever academic convocation on March 26 (tomorrow).
The Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai, who also happens to be Chancellor of the University, would preside over the convocation.
The Minister of State for Petroleum, Mir Jam Kamal Khan would attend the convocation as the Chief Guest.
Also attending the event would be high ups of the federal and provincial governments, vice chancellors of different universities, besides the teachers and students.
As per the press release issued by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of LUAWMS) on Tuesday, around 300 graduate male and female students of the University would be awarded the degrees on completion of their professional education in different disciplines.
As many as 22 position holder graduates would be given the gold medals.
According to the press release, the preparations of the convocation are in full swing. The University’s administration, faculty members and some 150 students are playing their part in the preparations.
Enthusiasm of the participating students is worth seen. All the necessary arrangements have been made to hold the convocation successfully, the press release mentioned.
