Balochistan Sports Festival Artists Day, Mushaira to be held today

QUETTA: Different days are being commemorated by the provincial government as part of the Balochistan Sports Festival in the provincial metropolis.
In this connection, the Artists Day is scheduled to be observed today (Wednesday) at the Officers’ Club.
The artists of the province would be honoured on the occasion. The Provincial Minister for Sports and Culture, Mir Mujeebur Rehman Muhammad Hassani, other ministers and other dignitaries would also be attending the event.
Moreover, a Mushaira has also been arranged the same afternoon and at the same venue.
The national level poets would be attending the poetry session and presenting their kalam (poetry) on the occasion.
Earlier, the Media Day was observed the other day.
The Provincial Minister for Information, Information Technology, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal was the chief guest.
The media persons associated with the electronic and print media had attended the ceremony. The secretary Information, Abdullah Jan and other concerned high ups were also present.
Tributes were paid to the media persons demonstrating excellent performance in the field of journalism in the province.
In addition to the commemoration of different days, the sports competitions are also in progress these days at various venues.
Over 2,400 sports persons including male and female are taking part in different sports events.
It may be mentioned here that the Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai had inaugurated the Sports Festival on March 22 in a clourful ceremony at Ayub Stadium.
