Water sports contests in progress at Hanna lake

QUETTA: The water sports competitions are in progress in connection with Balochistan Sports Festival at the Hanna Lake in Quetta outskirt.
The Director Canoe Federation and head of the Chiltan Adventure Association of Balochistan, Hayatullah Khan Durrani, Pride of Performance inaugurated the competitions.
A large number of male and female canoeists are taking part in the competitions being organized in different categories.
In the preliminary competitions, Muhammad Abu Bakar Durrani, Gul Lala, Tehmina Mahak, Kalsoom Jaffar, Kashmala Dotani, Naseebullah Sadozai, Farhanullah Kakar, Shoaib Khilji, Raz Muhammad Kakar got first position in their respective events.
Speaking on the occasion, Hayatullah Kakar said that Pakistan Day reminds us the day when the resolution was presented in Lahore to materialize the dream of Poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
He said that we should celebrate our national events with fervor and pledge to play our role in development of the country.
