LB polls in Cantt.: Nomination papers of 34 candidates approved

QUETTA: As many as 34 candidates are so far in the competition run for the Local Bodies (LB) elections of the Quetta Cantonment Board on April 25.
The sources of the Cantonment Board Quetta (CBQ) told that nomination papers of 34 candidates have been approved for the LB elections to be held in five wards of the Cantonment.
For Ward No.1, papers of six candidates were declared right. Similarly, for Ward No. 2, papers of five candidates, from Ward No. 3, papers of eight candidates, from Ward No. 4, papers of three and from Ward No. 5, the papers of 12 candidates were approved.
The candidates could withdraw their candidature from the elections by April 10, 2015. The election symbols would be allotted to the candidates on April 11.
It may be mentioned here that 24, 558 registered voters would cast their votes in the elections for polling is scheduled to be held on April 25, 2015.
