Minister P&D visits ship breaking yard in Gaddani

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai visited the Ship breaking Yard in Gaddani area the other day.
During his visit, he met the ship breakers and the labourers, who informed him about the issues being faced by them.
The Minister assured to address their problems.
Meanwhile, he also inspected the under-completion water desalination plant.
Earlier, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai also visited the water desalination plant completed under the Balochistan Development Authority (BDA) in Gawadar.
The Chairman of BDA, Sher Khan Bazai and Director General Gawadar Development Authority (GDA), Dr. Sajjad were also accompanied with him.
The Minister appreciated performance of the BDA. Under the project, some 2 million gallons of sea water could be made drinkable on daily basis.
The water would be available for population of Gawadar, it was briefed on the occasion.
It was further told that Rs. 980 million had been spent on the project. The Minister visited the Gawadar deep sea port.
