QUETTA: The Secretary Education, Abdul Saboor Kakar has termed the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference in Quetta a big success saying that it would prove a milestone in promotion of education in the province.
In his message on eve of the Conference, Abdul Saboor Kakar said that the provincial government was taking wholehearted measures for promotion of education in the province besides mobilizing all available resources.
We could obtain the targets with regarding to the quality education by taking certain initiatives in this regard, a confident Abdul Saboor Kakar maintained.
The Secretary Education also mentioned that the government has allocated a huge chunk of amount for education sector in the current financial year.
Certain other initiatives were also taken for the cause of education in the province, he mentioned adding that the issues being faced would be resolved.
He said that the things are improving in the province thanks to the steps taken by the government. He said that if the government of Balochistan would continue to get the cooperation of the international donor agencies and international community, the resources’ constraints would be overcome in education sector to a great extent, he believed.
He also stressed the need to improve the administrative affairs in addition to seek the cooperation of the social and political leaders for promotion of education.
If we were succeeded in achieving the goals of education sector, then the backwardness and sense of deprivation could be removed, he maintained.
Meanwhile, in his message on the occasion of Conference. the former Secretary Education, Ghulam Ali Baloch said that revolutionary steps are unavoidable in education sector.
Referring the Balochistan Education Sector Plan, Baloch said that it is a comprehensive programme, which was prepared in view of the educational requirements of the province. However, all the governmental and non-governmental stakeholders would have to work with utmost seriousness to make it a great success.
He said that while the provincial government is taking steps on emergent basis, but still it is a challenge to make access of the children to education in the province.
He said that we could not prove our selves at the world level until and unless we generalize education in information and technical sectors.
