Governor opens Inter provincial education ministers conference

QUETTA Apr 27 (PPI): Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said poverty and illiteracy is main reason to turn people on anti social activity. Main ill of education system at primary level is one teacher and schooling on one class room. It should be changed immediately.
He was addressing inaugural session 5 th two day provincial education ministers conference here Monday.
He said there is need to paying full attention at the primary level for improving education system. He said if literacy ratio was not increased then poverty and illiteracy can force them on anti social enmity.
Governor said there is need we should seek assistance of national and international organisations for training of teachers at modern level. He said our schooling system requires constitutional change so that 5 to 15 year child is not left form education. While recommending governor said ratio fo literacy or start of schooling should be as per international standard. He said being Pakistani we lag behind in SAARC countries. He aid drop out ratio has increased many folds and according to an estimate this has touched a mark of 75 percent from class one to ten.
He said that the way developed countries America, England, Japan and China have adopted special measures to develop abilities of their youth we should also develop creative abilities of our youth. He said along with education character building and moral developing of our youth also needs attention.
He said provincial government has accorded priority to education and annual education budget has been raised to 26 percent. Besides a five year planning has also been made under Article 25 (a) aimed at providing free and compulsory education.
He called upon participants to put forth such practical suggestions in which at least 100 percent admission of children of school going age could be possible.
Minister of State for education and Professional Training Engineer Baleeghur Rehman addressing conference said Government has put the country on road to development by ensuring acquisition of standard education as development is possible with education and it can better fate of the country.
Adviser on education Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech, provincial deduction ministers from other provinces, Education minister of Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, Chairman Higher Education Dr Mukhtar and others were also present.
Minister of Stated stressed upon Federal and provincial governments not only provide the best educational facilities but bring standard of education at par with international standard.
He said Pakistan bright future is linked with acquisition of standard education which can provide direction to thoughtful trends of youth
He said it is also important that training should also be reviewed besides education and education should be harmonized with modern demands and our ideological basis. He said if we want to achieve education targets we have to review curricular. He said according to constitution educational curricular is now provincial subject. And under the constitution federal and provincial governments inter provincial ministers of education conference should jointly prepare syllabus so that there is disconnection of coordination and governments could include facts and need of their areas in it.
Baleeghur Rehman said inter provincial education ministers conference has been decided jointly and federal and all the provincial governments are unanimous to raise ratio of education by 100 percent. He said without acquiring of education country?s development is not possible.
