BA passes bill, another deferred

QUETTA Apr 27 (PPI): Provincial Assembly passed Balochistan urban immovable property tax (amendment) bill 2015 when the house resumed sessions after two days break.
Member of Panel of Chairmen Dr Ruqqiah Saeed Hashmi chaired the session.
Balochistan urban immovable property tax (amendment) bill 2015 evoked heated debate over the passage of bill. Several members speaking on the bill said that they should be given sufficient time to read and if necessary bring amendment.
Shaikh Jaffar Mandolhel Minister for Excise and Taxation said that the bill was tabled three days ago and members had time to study the bill and suggest any amendment in it.
However it was passed without any opposition when put to vote by the chair.
Balochistan Protection against harassment of women at work place bill 2015 was deferred.
Members particularly Ms Rahila Durrani, Ms Yasmeen Lehri and Dr Shama Ishaq opposed introduction of the bill. They sought time for its further study.
Chief Minister and Leader fo House Dr Malik Baloch said that the bill can be deferred. After formation of House committees such women related bills should be referred to these committees for scrutiny and consideration before their adoption by the House.
