QUETTA Apr 28 (PPI): After 18 th amendment provinces have been empowered to make their own policies. It is their responsibility to evolve positive and high standard curricular and policy. To improve situation of Universities their funds have been increased to Rupees 70 billion from 40 billion.
These views were expressed by Minister of State for Education Baleeghur Rehman while briefing Newsmen on final day of Inter provincial Education Ministers conference here Tuesday.
Adviser on Education Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech, Federal Secretary Education Imtiaz Tajwar, MPA Prince Ahmed Ali and others were also present.
Baleeghur Rehman said province have also been empowered to include work of local level heroes in the syllabus. He said a committee has also been formed in National Education Policy which was working on war footings.
He said Higher Education Commission was providing funds to all provinces on equal basis but additional funds are provided to universities of Balochistan which is backward province. He aid for the first time Universities budget has been increased to 70 billion from 40 billion Rupees.
He said government has also decided to bring changes in the syllabus and curricular of schools and colleges.
