This was vowed by the Provincial Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti while speaking on the occasion of luncheon hosted for 44 employees of the PDMA going to attend a training programme in 1122 Emergency Center Lahore, here the other day.
Also attended the reception was by the Member of Provincial Assembly, Prince Ahmed Ali and Director General PDMA, Tahir Munir Minhas.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti, who also holds the portfolio of PDMA, said that special attention is being given on training of the PDMA workers.
Sending of the 44 personnel recruited on merit to 1122 Lahore for training is part of the initiatives being taken by the provincial government in this regard, he maintained.
The PDMA’s personnel would be imparted advance training in Lahore so that they are able to play their part in making the 1122 service in Quetta effective, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti mentioned.
The training would help the personnel to tackle the post-disaster situation efficiently. They would be able to help the distressed people out in an emergent situation, he believed.
The Home Minister also said that it is his endeavour to send the personnel abroad for further capacity building once they return from Lahore attending training there.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director General PDMA said that the 1122 Rescue Service is being introduced in the province.
The newly recruited personnel of 1122 would be posted in Quetta on completion of their training in Lahore, he added.
Afterwards, the Rescue 1122 offices would also be established at the district level in future, the DG PDMA told the gathering.
