Govt. attaches importance to promotion of sports, says Liaquat Agha

QUETTA: The Member Provincial Assembly, Syed Liaquat Agha has stated that the provincial government is taking steps for promotion of sports and encouragement of sports persons in the province.
He was addressing the final ceremony of the All Pishin High Schools Football Tournament in the football ground of Government Model High School Pishin the other day.
Syed Liaquat Agha, who basically belongs to Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), said that the government is keen to develop sports sector in the province, and for the purpose, certain measures are being taken.
He urged the youth to take wholehearted part in the sports and other healthy activities so that they are healthy and physically and mentally sound to perform better in their practical life.
The District Education Officer, Muhammad Tariq, Principal of the Pishin Model School, Muhammad Ashraf and others also addressed the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the final match was won by Model High School Pishin. It defeated the High School Kangalzai by 1-0.
The chief guest distributed prizes among the players and officials.
