QUETTA: The Member Provincial Assembly, Ms. Yasmeen Lehri has stated that the provincial coalition government is committed to well being of the writers and intellectuals and as such it has also taken certain steps in this regard.
This, she stated while addressing the ceremony of launching of the poetry collection “Taqdees-e-Gul†of the eminent writer and poet, Naseem Ahmed Naseem held under the auspices of Taameer-e-Nau Literary Society here the other day.
The prominent among those present in the ceremony were included Professor Dr. Bairum Ghouri, Kashif Hussain, Ms. Jahan Ara Tabassum, Dr. Irfan Ahmed Baig, Irfanul Haq Saim, Afzal Murad, Sarwar Javed and others.
Ms. Lehri maintained that the poets and writers have the status of eye of the society. She said that it is the land of prominent poets, writers and intellectuals, who have always guided the society in the right direction. She appreciated the poetry of Naseem Ahmed Naseem and hoped that he would do his good creative work in future as well.
Meanwhile, other speakers also appreciated the literary services of the poet. They said that Naseem Ahmed Naseem has been playing vital role in promotion of literary activities in the province for around half century.
As an educationist and the civil officer, he (Naseem) also used his professional capabilities to serve the province, they commended.
They also said that the educated class is our asset. The writers not only use their pen for highlighting their issues but they also come with the solid recommendations and course of action for their solution, the speakers maintained.
In the end, MPA Yasmeen Lehri announced Rs. 100,000 for Naseem Ahmed Naseem.
