Issues of Balochistan to be taken up in parliament

QUETTA: The Chairman Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat, Rana Muhammad Hayat has assured to take up the issues of Balochistan forcefully in the Parliament.
He has also assured to make wholehearted efforts for solution of the issues the province has been facing.
Rana Muhammad Hayat was chairing a meeting about the Aghaz Haqooq Balochistan Package (AHBP), here the other day.
Besides the members of the committee, the Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha, secretaries of different provincial government departments and other concerned high ups attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the matters pertaining to establishment of a cancer hospital in Quetta, feasibility of the water dams for preservation of rainwater in the province, handing over of Saindak Project to the Balochistan province under the AHBP, and others.
The Chairman Standing Committee on the occasion said that it is our aim to make the country peaceful and prosperous for every province has to play its role, maintaining he stressed.
Rana Muhammad Hayat appreciated the provincial government for maximum allocation made for education and health sectors in the province.
It is an encouraging that the maximum chunk of the provincial budget has been allocated for education and health sectors, he commended.
This would bring a revolution in education sector on one hand while it would also bring remarkable improvement in the health sector, he believed.
Earlier, the Chief Secretary told the meeting that the provincial government has reached an agreement of 74 mega watt electricity with the Iranian government.
Under the agreement, the Makran areas including Gwadar, Panjgur and Turbat are being supplied electricity from Iran.
He also mentioned that the provincial government is going to shift all the tube wells on the solar energy in Balochistan. In this regard, the federal government would cooperate with the provincial government, he hoped.
