QUETTA: The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Abdul Razzaq Cheema has said that the National Action Plan (NAP) is being implemented in letter and spirit and certain achievements have been made with regard to prevent the incidents of terrorism, target killings and other crimes under NAP in the provincial metropolis.
He stated so while addressing a press conference here at his office the other day. He was flanked by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigations, Asad Raza, SP CIA, Muhammad Shaukat, SP Sadar Circle, Malik Muhammad Arshad, Deputy Superintendent of Police City, Muhammad Qasim Silachi and others.
The CCPO explained certain measures being adopted to control law and order situation in the province.
In this regard, search and sweep operation has also been launched, he maintained.
He said that the security measures have been increased in the metropolis to prevent any untoward incident in the metropolis. He said that patrolling has also been intensified in different parts of the city. referring the incident of target killing of two persons on Sariab road, the CCPO said that abanned organization had claimed its responsibility.
Referring the reported missing of Senior Member Balochistan Public Service Commissioner, Shahbaz Khan Mandokhail, he mentioned that the information report has been registered by the family of Mr. Mandokhail. A case has been registered and further investigations are underway, the CCPO maintained.
