2 killed, 2 injured in Kalat

KALAT July 13 (PPI): two pejrsons wr ekille and antoehr two sustained injuries in firing incident here Sunday-mondaynight.
Relatives blocked RCD highway by putting dead bodies on the road and chanted slogans against Kalat Police.
Relatives of deceased said that SHO accompanied by Police contingent first crushed motorcycle riders and injured them. Then fire was opened in which two riders Abdul Hameed and Abdul Jabbar were killed. Two others Asmatullah and Shah Nawaz also sustained serious injuries.
Police said that they were carrying electricity transformer. An exchange of fire took place between them and zamindars. Bullets also hit Police mobilealso. Police opened fire in self defence. It was still unclear of whose bullets they were killed.
Relatives observed shutter down and closed all the bazaars. In a protest procession they took dead bodies to the RCD and blocked it at Mid Way hotel. Hundreds of vehicles and passengers stranded due to blockade of highway. RCD highway remained blocked for over five hours.
District Police Officer Kalat Nazeer Ahmed Kurd held talks with protesting people. They demanded registration of FIR against SHO and said they would not open RCD highway unless it si registered.
Later briefing Newsmen Provincial Minister Muhammad Aslam Bizenjo told that two persons were killed and two others sustained injuries at Hassn Lalo. He said it is due to incompetence of QESCO. Zamindars make arrangements in the absence electricity. QESCO is responsible for entire incident. Thousands of people staged a sit in. They are our children. He requested to relatives and zamindars and they ended their strike with string a judicial commission should be formed for correct inquiry into the incident. He told them that only Chief Minister has powers for constituting judicial inquiry. He is out of the country. On his return eh would make a request for constituting judicial inquiry. He said any one who is defaulter in the incident would be punished. He said QESCO would also be made party in it. SHO Muhammad Yusuf Reki would be placed under suspension.
Thereupon protestors ended their protest and opened RCD highway for normal traffic.
Dead bodies were shifted to their native area and buried there.
