Extra-ordinary security arrangements on eve of Eidul Fitr

QUETTA: Extra-ordinary security arrangements have been made to avert any untoward incident on eve of the Eidul Fitr as the necessary security plan has been finalized here in the provincial metropolis.
Under the security plan, the security of the Eid congregations, bazaars and other sensitive places has been stepped up.
The Deputy Inspector General of Police Quetta, Abdul Razzaq Cheema told that over 2,200 personnel of the police and Balochistan Constabulary have been deployed in the city. The deployment of the personnel has been made all over the city including at the Eidgahs, mosques and Imam bargahs besides other sensitive parts.
The police as well as law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have been asked to remain alert particularly during the Eid days.
Walk through gates have been set up for screening of the faithfuls entering the premises of Eid gahs and mosques.
It may be mentioned here that the leaves of the senior police officers and the personnel have already been cancelled directing them to remain present at their respective duty places.
In addition to the additional deployment, patrolling of the personnel has also been intensified in different parts of the province.
Moreover, the personnel would also be deployed in the plain clothes to keep a strict vigil on the law and order situation.
