Monsoon rains in Balochistan: PDMA’s Emergency Control Room to function round the clock

QUETTA: The Emergency Control Room established by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) regarding the Monsoon rains would operate round the clock.
This was announced in an official hand out issued here the other day.
According to the notification, the Control Room can be contacted through 081-2881168 or mobile No. 0300-3376892 in the day shift and the same telephone No. 2881168 or mobile No. 0305-8307134 in the night shift.
Earlier, a flood control room has also been set up by the district administration in the Deputy Commissioner office Sibi.
The control room would help tackle any emergent situation following the rains and the possible flood situation in the district.
One can contact the control room by dialing 0833-9230089 or 923002234 for any complaint in this regard.
The Control Room established in the office of Deputy Commissioner Quetta would tackle any emergent situation in view of the unstable weather conditions and significant monsoon rains predicted by the Met Office has been made fully effective.
According to the hand out, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Dr. Yasir Khan Bazai has been designated as the Focal Person.
