Govt is committed to purge the country of the menace of terrorism: Nisar

ISLAMABAD, September 24 (Online): Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the government is committed to purge the country of the menace of terrorism.

He was talking to the British Home Secretary Theresa May who called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Chaudhry Nisar Ali said that the government is evolving an effective strategy to eliminate terrorism.

The two leaders discussed bilateral issues and other matters of mutual interest including post-foreign troops withdrawal situation in Afghanistan.

May offered UK help to Pakistan in combating terrorism. She said that the Britain will continue to offer assistance to Islamabad in this regard.

Khan informed May that Pakistan is working on devising a new strategy to fight against terrorists, adding that the government of Pakistan is determined to root out terrorism.

They also agreed on mutual cooperation against terrorism.
