Promotion of quality education priority, maintains Zairay

QUETTA: The Member Provincial Assembly belonging to Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and Chairman of Standing Committee for Agriculture, Nasrullah Zairay has categorically stated that development of education on sound lines, establishment of new schools and imparting quality education to the students are priorities of the present provincial government.
This, he stated during visit of Government Girls Primary School Killi Shah Nawaz, Sariab the other day. Also present on the occasion were the Secretary Secondary Education, Abdul Saboor Kakar, besides the high ups of the Education department including Anwar Shah, Muteeb Khan, Gul Muhammad Kakar and others.
The issue of the building of the Girls Primary School Killi Shah Nawaz was discussed on the occasion. The detailed consultation was also done with elders of the area. Their recommendations were also sought in this regard.
Nasrullah Zairay on the occasion said that said that while it is priority of the government to impart quality education and to facilitate the people especially children in this regard, he added.
He assured that the issue of the school would be resolved on permanent basis. The schools would be established for the areas inhabiting large population, he maintained.
Meanwhile, the MPA along with Secretary Education and other high ups also visited different schools in the Quetta suburb.
They also inspected the facilities being provided to the students there. They also had interaction with the students.
During his visit, he also took notice of illegal possession of a few parts of the Government Boys High School Akbar Bugti and directed to take action against the illegal occupants. He also took notice of the absence of some teachers from the schools.
He said that no compromise would be made on quality of education in the schools. Adding he stressed that it is responsibility of the teachers and other administrative staff to ensure quality of education.
The MPA and Secretary Education also gave patient hearing to the issues being faced by different schools and assured to play their part for resolving them.
The issues of the schools would be resolved, they assured. Moreover, they said that all the non-functional schools would be made functional ensuring that quality education is imparted to the students there.
