Deputy Mayor Metropolitan: Result-oriented steps being taken to address civic problems

QUETTA: Deputy Mayor of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC), Muhammad Younas Baloch has stated that the elected representatives in collaboration with the administration are taking result-oriented steps for resolution of the civic problems.
He was presiding over a meeting of the Joint Operation Committee of the Quetta district administration and Metropolitan Corporation here the other day.
Different issues related to the violation of building code, pad parking, encroachments, besides principles of the hygiene and the quake doctors were discussed during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Mayor said that the complaint cell would be made effective so as to register the complaints and resolve them accordingly.
He said that the Corporation wants to implement the relevant laws in true letter and spirit. However, no one should be disturbed under the garb of implementation on the laws, he stressed.
The Deputy Mayor directed to take action if needed so taking the elected representatives on board so that no issue is created.
He on the occasion stressed the need to create awareness among the general public about the traffic laws and other issues. For the purpose, the electronic media should also be used, he stressed further.
