Improving quality of education: Teachers ought to play vital role, says VC UoB

QUETTA: Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan (UoB), Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal has called on the teachers to play their vital part in improving quality of education in the province.
He was addressing the training workshop for the teachers here the other day. He said that teaching is a very elegant profession as such those associated with it have to realize significance of the profession and fulfill their noble responsibilities.
He said that the UoB is providing opportunities of higher education to the students at their doorstep. He noted with contentment that the University has attained its due status among the best educational institutions of the country. This was possible only because of the hard work of the teachers and dedication of the students, he commended.
The VC, however, stressed that the teachers should build their professional capacity further. Rather, the research culture should be promoted as the developed and civilized nations have attained the status through modern technology and research, he maintained.
