Couple gunned down over ‘Karo Kari’

SUKKUR, Sept 24 (Online): Armed men shot dead a couple over honour killing in Chhawara market of Sukkur.
According to details, Lakhan and Mirani tribes clashed over ‘Karo Kari’ issue in Chhawara market near Sukkur barrage. The armed men opened indiscriminate fire, killing 25-year-old Shehzad Mirani and 21-year-old Kalsoom Lakhan on the spot.
Two other people identified as Malik Nawaz and Rajay Kumar sustained injuries in the firing incident. The injured were rushed to taluka hospital.
DSP Rohri Haji Masood Mehar said five accused, involved in the firing, have been arrested with weapons.
