Deputy Mayor appreciates joint operation: Crackdown continues against butchers, illegal parkings and buildings

QUETTA: The Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) has decided to continue crackdown against the butchers not taking care of the hygienic conditions as well as unauthorized car and motorcycle parking and construction of illegal buildings.
The decision to this effect was made during a meeting of the teams formed for joint operation launched in this regard in Quetta city and the district here the other day. The Deputy Mayor of QMC, Muhammad Younas Baloch presided over the meeting.
The meeting was informed about the action taken so far. It was informed that several shops of butchers were raided in Sariab road, Barma Hotel, Killi Shahwani and adjoining areas. The butchers were charged fine of Rs. 24,000 on the poor hygienic conditions besides butchering the animals at their outlets.
Moreover, a parking operating in front of Akram Hospital on Zarghoon road was sealed and the goods and the material was taken into custody.
Similarly, a cycle stand in front of the Civil Hospital was also sealed.
It was also informed in the meeting that the construction of an “illegal” building has been stopped on the junction of the Kansi road and Faiz Muhammad road.
The gas and power supply of the building has also been suspended, it was informed further.
Regarding the road cutting, it was decided that the duration of the NOC of the road cutting would be applicable for one week.
Anyone availing the NOC after one week would be considered illegal, it was decided further.
The Deputy Mayor appreciated the performance of the joint operation teams and directed them to keep on working with the same spirit and dedication.
