Promotion of sports included in our priorities, says William Barkat

QUETTA: The Member Provincial Assembly, William Barkat has stated that it is included in priorities of the provincial government to promote sports, encourage sports persons and financially assist the sports organizations.
This, he stated while addressing the ceremony held in connection with the final match of the Inter-Classes Football Tournament at the Sardar Ishaq Khan Government High School, located on Alamdar Road the other day.
The senior Headmaster of the Sardar Ishaq Khan School, Ghazanfar Ali Changezi, organizer Ghulam Raza Changezi, Magistrate Muhammad Hussain were also present on the occasion.
The MPA William Barkat said that sports help promote healthy competition and environment so we should focus on their promotion.
It is our collective responsibility to encourage the talented sports persons what’s also being done by the present government, he said.
William Barkat also urged the students to focus on their studies following the principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who always stressed on education.
Our youth have to focus on their studies so that they are able to shoulder their future responsibilities, he stressed.
William Barkat on the occasion also referred to the achievements made by the Hazaras in different sectors particularly in sports.
The Hazara people have rendered valuable services for the province and the country in different sectors, he commended.
He announced Rs. 200,000 for the School.
Earlier, the players were introduced to the chief guest. In final match, 9th Class defeated 10th Class by 3-1.
