Ban on pillion riding lifted in Quetta

QUETTA: The ban on pillion riding has been withdrawn from the provincial metropolis on Sunday.
It may be mentioned here that the ban had been imposed under the Section 144 by the Home and Tribal Affairs department for two days on 9th and 10th of Muharramul Haram.
The Department’s sources confirmed the lifting of ban imposed on the pillion riding in Quetta.
Needless to mention here is that the ban was imposed owing to the security concerns on the eve of 9th and 10th of Muharram.
Earlier, the cellular phone service was also restored on Saturday night after having been suspended for the whole day owing to security threats on the Youme Ashoor.
The cellular services had remained suspended on 10th of Muharram from 8 AM to 9 PM.
