NAP helped better law and order in Quetta Division, Qasim Mengal

QUETTA: Additional Commissioner Quetta Division, Muhammad Qasim Mengal has stated that it was the National Action Plan (NAP), which helped improve law and order situation in the Quetta Division.
He was briefing the participants of the 20th Midcareer Management Course, who are on study tour of the province, here the other day.
The briefing covered the law and order situation, initiatives for polio eradication, safety of the travelers on the highways, etc. Also present on the occasion were the Deputy Commissioner Pishin, Engineer Abdul Wahid Kakar, Superintendent of Police Pishin, Abdul Hayee, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Maqbool Ahmed Rakhshani, Assistant Commissioner Political, Nasarullah Kakar Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Batool Asadi, and Assistant Commissioner Samillah.
The Additional Commissioner mentioned that the administration and law enforcement agencies are on a single page against terrorism and crimes. Certain steps have been taken to eliminate terrorism and other crimes in Quetta Division under the National Action Plan, he mentioned.
Obviously, the law and order situation has been improved significantly, he maintained.
The Additional Commissioner also said that the campaign is continued against the use of loud speakers for hate speeches besides the provocative and objectionable material that cause hatred among the people.
Referring the steps for polio eradication, Qasim Mengal said that concrete steps are being taken to make the anti-polio campaign effective in three districts of the province.
These initiatives have yielded encouraging results, he mentioned further.
He also referred to the capacity building of levies force saying that the modern training is being imparted to the levies force through the Pak army and Frontier Corps (FC). The levies force is also being equipped with modern facilities, weapons and machinery. The training and facilities would enable them cope with the challenges of the law and order, he believed.
Moreover, the necessary measures have also been adopted for safety of the travelers on the national highways particularly for the pilgrims proceeding for Iran, he maintained.
