Campaign against defaulters continues: QESCO raiding teams remove over two dozen transformers in various areas

QUETTA: The campaign of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) against the defaulters of electricity dues is continued as over two dozen transformers were removed and connections of several others were disconnected on non-payment.
The sources of QESCO said that the transformers were removed in Mekhtar, Ziarat, Kawas and Zindra and Khaliqabad, Mangochar areas.
The team of Executive Engineer, Loralai Division, Hashim Jogezai removed five transformers in Mekhtar area under supervision of the Superintending Engineer, QESCO Loralai Circle, Rasad Khan Kakar.
Five transformers were also removed from Kawas, Zindra and Ziarat and power supply was suspended on non-payment of the electricity utility bills and dues, the sources informed.
A QESCO team under supervision of the Recovery Incharge, Haji Ibrahim Bangulzai raided in the Sariab area and removed three transformers. They were included two transformers of the agricultural consumers.
Moreover, the jumpers of three transformers were also cut in different areas of Sariab.
While on the other hand, power connections of 21 domestic defaulters were disconnected in the Sariab Mill, Eastern-bye pass and Goharabad areas.
Similarly, the team comprising SDO Khaliqabad, Mangochar, Zulfiqar Manjho and Line Superintendent, Sardar Bashir Ahmed Muhammad Shahi under the supervision of Superintending Engineer Khuzdar Circle, Engineer Nasarullah Baloch and Executive Engineer, Kalat Division, Syed Asif Shah removed 12 transformers on non-payment of the dues in their respective areas.
It was informed that a special task force has been formed for recovery of the arrears from the defaulters.
