GWADAR Oct 31 (PPI): Pak Army was implementing different projects to make Gwadar Safe City and evolving a system of security. Locals would be issued Gwadar Resident Cards.
This was stated by Incharge Gwadar Security Force Brigadier Iftikhar Bhatti while speaking with local bodies representatives and elites of city here Saturday.
Chairman District Council Babu Gulab, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Majeed Abro and others were also present.
Brig Bhatti said Pak Army has been assigned security of Gwadar. Security check posts have been setup along entry points so that steps are taken for security of national and foreign investors. He said complete record of people coming to Gwadar from other areas would be maintained so that city is made a secured city.
He said we are also focusing on social sectors. Our vision is development of people of Gwadar. We would take measures with people for their progress and prosperity. They are out stake holders and we would work with them as a team so that better results emerge to resolve people’s problems and move forward on emergency basis in electricity, water and health and social sectors.
He said work on water crisis has been undertaken on emergency basis. Construction of under construction Sod Dam has been started. PHE and Gwadar Development Authority were evolving details for laying water pipelines. Its completion would resolve water crisis forever.
He said agreements have been signed with Chinese government for development of social sector. Local people of Gwadar would have first right in development and employment. GIT would limpart training to local people in Gwadar and make them skillful so that they would play their role in coming days.
