QMC Mayor pledges to restore traditional beauty of Quetta

QUETTA: The Mayor of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC), Dr. Kalimullah Khan has once again reiterated his resolve to restore beauty of Quetta city addressing all the civic problems.
He was talking to a group of media persons here the other day. Dr. Kalimullah said that we are aware of the issues being faced by the Quetta city and its people. We are committed to take concrete steps for removal of encroachments and resolve the emerging issues of traffic in the metropolis.
He mentioned that the parking along the city roads would be removed fully. Separate places have been allocated for parking of the vehicles, he pledged further.
Moreover, the illegal constructions would be demolished in the Municipal limits. No one would be allowed to violate the Building Code in future, he asserted.
He also said that the construction work to be done without earlier permission of the Corporation and passage of the proper map of the buildings would not be allowed.
While on the other hand, Dr. Kalimullah Khan said that earthquake proof buildings would be constructed. No compromise would be made in this regard, he added.
Referring the recruitment in QMC, the Mayor assured that all the recruitments would be made purely on merit.
Meanwhile, addressing a meeting of the Joint Operation Committees and district administration, the Deputy Mayor QMC, Muhammad Younas Baloch also said that the violation of the parking rules would not be tolerated.
Moreover, he also pledged that the buildings construction in violation of the building code would be demolished just because they are threat to the city.
Those who were in attendance at the meeting were included: Assistant Commissioner Quetta City, Muhammad Tariq Mengal, Special Magistrates, veterinary officers and other concerned officials.
