Parents urged to vaccinate children against polio

QUETTA: Chairman District Council Gwadar, Babu Gulab has appealed to the parents to ensure immunization of their children below five years of age against polio disease.
During inauguration of the campaign in District Headquarter Hospital, Babu Gulab said that it is prime responsibility of the parents to play their part for saving their children from the disease. Immunization is the best mean to prevent the diseases, he stressed.
Earlier, the District Health Officer (DHO) Gwadar, Dr. Akhtar Buledi informed that all the necessary arrangements were already finalized for the polio immunization campaign.
Our target it to vaccinate 43,532 children against polio in the district, he mentioned adding that for the purpose, 124 teams were formed.
In addition to the mobile teams, arrangements have also been made for vaccination of children at 25 fixed centers and nine transit points in the district, he maintained.
